Quick Friday Tip: Easy Way to Peel a Boiled Egg
Thought this was cool so I'd thought that I'd share it, I'm a fan of Tim Ferris if you couldn't tell. I eat boiled eggs a fair amount as a good snack. I especially like the organic eggs from Trader Joe's, they taste great! This took a few times to get right but its a lot less messy peeling, especially if you doing at your desk at work.
Another tip is to use older eggs, not expired eggs but just ones that have been in the fridge for a few days.
I am getting to together with the Ultra Ragnasty Relay team, our 4 person 193 mile race team, tomorrow for a run. Should be a lot of fun as long as the heat doesn't kill us.

Zumbro 100 Mile Race Check List:

People always assume that running is a pretty cheap sport and it is. Unfortunately racing is a whole different thing, it turns out is quite expensive. Not only do you have to buy endless number of running shoes, but the race fees, travel, nutrition and as you can see below a lot of extras if you want to run Ultras.
As I get ready to do my first 100 mile trail race this Friday (Zumbro 100) I want to make sure that I have everything I need or may need while I'm out there. Below is my check list of things that I got in preparation for my race. There are a lot of things that I'm really hoping that I don't have to use, such as duct tape and super glue. Yes, I have heard of runners that have had to duct tape and glue themselves back together in order to continue racing, let's hope I don't have to do that. Anyways here is what I am bringing to the race on Friday some of it is for my crew, I am trying to take care of them a bit, but most of it is for me. It is a lot longer list than I originally thought but I suppose you better be safe than sorry.

Afton 50K

Being that I only go one response to my inquiry as to whether or not to run the Afton 50k or enjoy my 4th of July weekend. I decided to run it. This will be my first Ultra marathon so I am pretty excited. It looks like a good course and a good race to attempt my first Ultra, though it will only be 2 weeks after the Grandma's marathon this weekend.

Race and Repeat

Here is a good article from Runner's World about using races as training runs and motivation. That is kind of what I'm doing, the runner in this article uses 5k's. I'm using marathons.
